Cinnamon is used internally to stop digestive problems - especially when accompanied by flatulence and cramping, as well as diarrhea, vomiting and gastroenteritis.
Its warming action is used to to treat colds and flu as well as arthritis and rheumatism.
An infusion of the herb has shown of benefit in the treatment of glandular fever, tonsilitis, hepatitis and cystitis. The infusion is also used to treat liver, bladder and urinary problems.
Cramp Bark is one of the best female regulators in the herb world. It is a uterine sedative, aiding in menstrual cramps, afterbirth, and postpartum pains. It helps to prevent miscarriage, as well as internal hemorrhaging. It is often used to treat muscle cramping and spasms, as well as heart palpitations. Use no more than two cups per day for three consecutive days, or it may cause nausea or skin rash.
Historically, dandelion was most commonly used to treat liver diseases, kidney diseases, and spleen problems. Less commonly, dandelion was used to treat digestive problems and skin conditions.
Today, dandelion is used by some as a liver or kidney "tonic," as a diuretic, and for minor digestive problems.
Devil's claw has been used for thousands of years in Africa for fever, rheumatoid arthritis, skin conditions, and conditions involving the gallbladder, pancreas, stomach and kidneys. The primary use of devil's claw today is for conditions that cause inflammation and pain.
Echinacea is best known for its immune enhancing ability, but has proven very effective in many other areas as well.

Elecampane has long been valued as a tonic herb for the respiratory system. Its warming effect on the lungs, combined with its ability to gently stimulate the coughing up and clearing of mucus from the chest, makes it a safe remedy for young and old. Elecampane can be used in almost all chesty conditions, and is very useful when the patient is debilitated.
