Seeds are starting to sprout and tings are poking their heads up. Pretty soon the Garden Centers will be swarmed. Can't wait!!

Have you ever made Dandelion Cookies with your kids or grands? It is such a great experience for them (and you). Pick the flowers and separate all the petals from the green , discarding the green parts. I use a simple peanut butter oatmeal cookie recipe, but you can use any that you like. I just eliminate some of the oatmeal and add the dandelion flowers. The kiddos will be amazed at eating flowers but also the cookies at]re great! Have fun! Reminding you that violets are also edible. If you use the blue ones, they will turn and cup of tea or lemonade a pretty pink. Getting the kids involved early is such fun.

Thanks to all who support our food pantry! Things like bottled water and snacks are great additions for the summer months. Also things like toiletries are also needed.

We will be closed Mothers’s Day (May 20), and Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26).
